In a heartwarming celebration of love, Emem Effiong and her physically challenged partner, Innocent Moses Ntia, exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony held at the Christ The King Cathedral in Uyo on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

The blissful event was shared by the bride on Facebook, where she expressed gratitude for the presence of Her Excellency, the wife of the Governor, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, who was represented by the wives of five LGA transition committee chairmen.

"Thank God it ended in praise. Our deepest appreciation to Her Excellency, the wife of the Governor, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno that was ably represented by wives of five LGA transition committee chairmen. Mummy, Thank you for honoring us, God bless you,” she wrote.

Congratulatory messages poured in, with Greg Simon expressing excitement for the newlyweds and noting the positive shift in the narrative within the disability community in 2023. He shared his hopeful anticipation for more such unions in 2024.
