Wizkid Announces Extended Break from Music, Considers Football and Golf for the Future

Award-winning music sensation, Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, has revealed his intention to step away from the music industry for a period of four to five years.

The announcement was made via a series of Instagram posts on a Sunday, where the popular artist even hinted at potentially trying his hand at football or golf.

In a humorous mix of languages, Wizkid stated, "I'll be back in 4 years; you all better manage your finances in the meantime, or maybe even five years, I might be out there playing football now. Or perhaps I'll take up golf, FIFA, or even wrestling, folks! You're all crazy! Everyone's gone mad."

He also expressed a sincere sentiment, saying, "On some real stuff, I hope all of you are doing well, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and that you take the time to enjoy moments with your loved ones."

This isn't the first time Wizkid has declared a hiatus from music; he previously did so in 2019, indicating his return in March. Fans will now eagerly anticipate his future endeavors, both in the music world and beyond.
